The WFSECTS is composed of various ministries within the church. Each ministry has its individual purpose in serving the members of Woodlawn Forrest Church of Christ.

To encourage Christian Women to help in the building of the kingdom while motivating one another in love, fellowship and service.

Ecclesiastes 9:10: “Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, no knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, wither thou goest.”

John 9:4: “I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day; the night cometh, when no man can work.”

Mark 14:8 “She hath done what she could!”

1Corinthians 15:58: “Therefore my beloved brethren (sisters included) be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.”

Matthew 9:37-38: “Then said he unto his disciples, the harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.”

Mrs. Gloria Butler and Mrs. Francine Shearry are the coordinator and co-coordinator
for the WFSECTS Ministries.

These ladies are responsible for the development, coordination, and implementation
of plans and programs for the ladies of the congregation in up-building the work of
the church.

Baptismal Ministry
Purpose: To assist baptismal candidates in preparation for baptism.
To maintain baptismal garments and other items.

Bulletin Board Ministry
Purpose: To keep assigned bulletin boards beautiful, neat and up-to-date.

Clothes Closet Ministry
Purpose: To maintain adequate clothing for distribution to needy individuals.

Communion Ministry
Purpose: To prepare the Lord’s Supper for worship services.

Hospitality Ministry
Purpose: To welcome new members and new converts to the congregation through acts
of love, concern and fellowship.

Kitchen Ministry
Purpose: To maintain the kitchen and monitor functions when it is in use.

Meals-On-Wheels Ministry
Purpose: To prepare meals for the sick and shut-in.

Newsletter Ministry
Purpose: To report news of the various committees.

Nursery Ministry
Purpose: Provide child care for mothers with small children during the worship services (ages: infants to 4 years old).

Pantry Ministry
Purpose: To provide food for the needy.

Plants and Decorations Ministry
Purpose: To beautify the building.

Sunshine Ministry
Purpose: To visit the sick, shut-in, and bereaved members and spread a little cheer.

Wellness Ministry
Purpose: To provide first aid and health education.
